Meet our Founder, Chris Gwinn
Prior to Midwest CFO, Chris held the helm at Great Lakes Advisory (GLA) as CEO, where he spearheaded its transformation into a top-tier operations agency. Furthermore, as the #1 Certified Trainual Consultant, he collaborated with global businesses featured on the Inc. 5000 list, guiding GLA to scale by an impressive 400% under his leadership. Embracing a 100% remote team, Chris navigated GLA’s growth using the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).
Chris’s journey in corporate finance commenced at Milwaukee Tool and BNP Paribas. Subsequently, he managed over $85MM in assets at Northern Trust. His financial acumen extended to healthcare as the Director of Finance and Operations at Harmony Center, where he achieved a remarkable 500% increase in patient collections and a 300% boost in profitability.
A Marquette University alum with a CFA® designation, Chris’s passion for corporate finance, strategic planning, and leadership is palpable. Beyond his professional pursuits, he cherishes family time with his wife, Courtney, and son, Oscar, enjoying activities such as golf, running, cycling, snowboarding, and quality moments with their Australian Shepherd, Igor.
